My month was in the pits when today started, but now I am back at the top. I closed three deals today and made my month look a lot better even though it was not where I wanted to be. Get out your sales manuals, old lists, old notes, ask your manager questions, and most of all work hard. Even if your month is bad don’t quit, get mad, get scared, think about how bad your kids need college, think about vacations to the Caribbean, think about that bonus, and always pray pray pray! Last but not least tell your customers your goals and they will at least know what your ten phone calls before breakfast was about. Good selling and have a lot of fun tomorrow because it’s a new month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you meet someone for the first time how does the relationship start? Does it start with you telling the other person all about how much better of a friend you would be than their other friends? Do you ask the personal questions about how they spend their money? Do you give them a brochure on how great of a person or potential friend or spouse you would be? If the answer to these question is yes then you probably don’t have a lot of friends! If the answer is no then why the hell are you doing this to your potential customers. Ask them good questions about where they want their business to go, what they want to change, what mistakes do they see other salesmen make, and many others! Show your customers you are there to help their company save or make money and time! No one gives a damn about your brochure, your company, and especially your card unless they ask for it. Sit down and figure out what questions you would want answered if you were listening to your lame sales pitch. Good selling and have some fun

Time and loss of it

Gold, silver, platinum, and money all fall short of the value of time. We build statues, monuments, and stone buildings in effort to sustain our family, country, and beliefs, but as we look around they all fall and perish. We argue, fuss and fight about things that will all fall into a void that no one remembers of cares about, and we spend the most valuable thing we have on it which is time. We are here to do a few things with this priceless asset and I believe they are simple and easy. One is love your neighbor as yourself, and the other would have to be share your time with others showing how your higher power has blessed and worked with you. My time was filled with worry and tension because of dumb decisions which God knows I payed for, but one thing I know is time has become one of the main focuses in my life right now. As it goes by I want to intensely love my God, wife, and children. I never want to be one of those writers that always tells others how to be perfect because that’s not how life or reality ever is. Now, to relate this to sales I have a challenge for you all. When you lose track of time, get behind on a quota, take a break or something happens to take you out of stride think about what it would be like if you ran out of time. Yea, I know you are thinking who will take care of my customers and what about my quota I have to meet. I can’t do any of that if I ran out of time.. Well, if you are thinking that then take a vacation, but if you are like me when I thought about the loss of my time i thought of my children wondering why I was gone, my wife feeling lonely, and me not telling someone I loved them one last time. Remember our jobs are only a way to keep all the stuff we never use from belonging to someone else. So the next time you hear no, or they don’t call you back just tell them all your stuff might end up with someone that doesn’t love it like you do if they don’t buy from you!! If you are off track get back on, if you are on fire we don’t need no water, if you are tired of calling people give me your leads, but most importantly remember time and it’s value… Good selling and have fun!!!!!!

Sometimes you have things going on in your life and the last thing you want or do is smile and be nice. Take the gun out of your mouth and listen to this. In these cases you must first of all have great music, and secondly a good friend. First, blast the music in a Walmart parking lot. Watch the people and realize your problems are well… Not the worst thing in the world. After that call your good friend and tell them why you were about to, you know, bust a cap, or beat the, or show them who, or why they better! The last thing to do is really take a deep breath and thank God for this amazing, crazy, unpredictable, and beautiful ride we call life. Good selling tomorrow and have a great weekend. When I first heard this I immediately stopped listening because I thought sales calls equal nothing if you are making the wrong calls. I got off my high horse and realized making sales calls and even dead end sales calls are beneficial. The reason I changed my mind is because I walked into a busineess not to sell but to buy and I was asked what I did. Being the highly trained salesperson I like to think I am, I gave him my best 30 second infomercial I had. He of course said wow, pulled out his wallet and a pen and said where do I sign… Well not really, but after I left I got a phone call from a man interested in my services and it led to a sale and two referrals. He was referred to me by the gentleman in the big box store I spoke to the day before… Then the clouds parted and right there spelled in diamonds was that saying SALES CALLS EQUAL SALES DOLLARS. The moral of this story is always be prepared to tell anyone not only what you do, but how you help businesses or people solve the problems that they and everyone who they know face every day. Good selling tomorrow.

Getting people to push a button and read your jumbled useless thoughts is a lot harder than I expected. I have 9 years of sales experience, I’m not that successful, I don’t care too much about tumbler, but I’m not dumb because I understand the trend of networking. Following me would be at the very least wonderful and maybe even great. So pity me and lead me in the ways of tumbling.

Brought up in an all black neighborhood, poor, attending a private school because my grandmother was not afraid to solicit the wealthy for tuition, motherless and fatherless as a result from drug abuse, I possess a view or reality that is humble. I sale for a living, I live for my family, and I will be tumbling from a mind fearless of any race, age, addiction, disability, or style anyone may display or try and hide. Life’s mediums are the problems, disadvantages, and mistakes. The displayed masterpiece is how we ignore, overcome, and manipulate these mediums pushing back our urge to give up. I graduated college the first in my family proving that white trash can be land mined into fuel for the now upper middle class trash children I worship. Hard work made me rebel against the simple life and urge for the freedoms and safety of executive life so I wake up selling myself as they say in the business and they buy me because it’s hard to resist my big blue sincere eyes and good ole boy demeanor. Although I will be bringing and parroting advice of others, my advice to all is wear the skin off your knees from praying, don’t watch the news, laugh to keep from crying, and as my grandad always told me before school, “don’t let your meatloaf.”
